Hoff Posts Two Wins at NBAC Long Course Meet -- June 13, 2006

BALTIMORE, Maryland, June 12. OVER the weekend, Katie Hoff spent her time delivering stellar performances at the Charlotte UltraSwim, a stop on the United States Grand Prix circuit. On Monday, she returned to her home base and capped the NBAC Long Course Meet with a pair of triumphs.

Competing in the 200 breaststroke and 100 freestyle, the face of American swimming - on the female side - had little trouble defeating her opposition. Hoff notched a mark of 2:32.68 for gold in the 200 breast and added a winning clocking of 56.01 in the 100 free. Those swims followed impressive efforts in the 200, 400 and 800 freestyles in the Charlotte.

With a little less than two months before Summer Nationals, Hoff appears to be in fine form. The teenage sensation could make a run at several world records in the coming months, most notably in the 200 and 400 individual medley disciplines.
